2. LTC, AD Chief, Knowledge Management, NATO Training Mission- Afghanistan

Mr. XXXXXXX currently serves as the SharePoint Architect and Team Lead while I am the Chief of Knowledge Management for NATO Training Mission-Afghanistan and Combined Security Transition Command-Afghanistan in Kabul.

XXXXXXX's knowledge of SharePoint and its architecture is constantly reflected in the trust and confidence shared by subordinate, adjacent and higher directorates, which is rare in any organization, and particularly so when military members deal with contractors in such an environment. He quickly became a trusted agent among our customers, and was a true face of a highly reputable team here in the command. He also sought methods to improve business processes throughout the command.

His contributions and expertise has led to the successful development and implementation of several key projects critical to ensuring our mission's success. XXXXXXX is always reliable, timely and dedicated to ensuring his products contribute to enabling our staff to become more efficient, accurate and effective in their day-to-day mission, which is why he was hand-selected to be our SharePoint Team Lead. His efforts have greatly enhanced our unit's ability to transition key functions of the mission here in Afghanistan over to our Afghan partners.

During our service together, XXXXXXX has never failed to impress me with his work ethic, determination and commitment to our organization which spans a command of over 3,000 people, representing 37 troop-contributing countries, and spanning five deputy commands and 96 training and support locations. As his supervisor, I will say XXXXXXX is the consummate professional. The environment in which this team is required to work is one of great stress, high expectations, and ongoing transition as drawdown operations began. XXXXXXX brings the leadership and energy necessary to help plan for the future of Knowledge Management in the Afghan theater for the year 2013 and beyond.

XXXXXXX possesses the acumen to handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously. He is bright, articulate and his integrity is beyond reproach. He is a member of the team that I trust to go to for guidance, counsel and unbiased opinion on plans and policies with reference to future moves and changes to my team, knowing he is not one to be a "yes" man, but rather, to put thought and experience behind his words and offer clear, honest assistance, and is one of the best team members I have served with in over 20 years of military service.

I am currently in Afghanistan if you have any questions or would like any additional information please contact me at XXXXXXX anytime or XXXXXXX until XXXXXXX.

Signed
